Nairn County 2-4 Elgin

Scottish Cup

Elgin saw off a spirited challenge from the Highland League outfit to book their place in the third round of the Scottish Cup.

Craig Frizzell's hat-trick gave Elgin a commanding lead but two Nairn goals in six minutes from Willie Barron and Campbell brought the tie to life.

Elgin substitute Jason Crooks converted a penalty in 71 minutes to seal victory for the Third Division side.


Nairn County: Donaldson, Hind, Mackintosh (Kerr 58), Barron, Craig Campbell, Mackay, Macleod, Gillespie, Glenn Main, Greg Main, Sanderson (Low 74).
