Nicknamed the Wallabies, Australia has competed in all six Rugby World Cups, and have won it twice, in 1991 against England, and in 1999 against France.
They are a formidable nation in so many sports - rugby is most certainly one of them - and Scotland have buckled under their weight for nearly 3 decades.
It's been 27 years of losses for Scotland against them and in the overall head to heads, the Wallabies have won over 70% of their matches.
In fact it is Scotland's worst losing streak to any nation, losing 16 straight tests. And perhaps even more galling, the Scots have lost the last eight in Scotland to the Wallabies, again a record.
But wait, it's not all doom and gloom, Andy Robinson has insisted that an improvement of 15% on Scotland's performance against Fiji will be enough to beat the Australians.
How that is measured or even worked out is beyond me, but wouldn't it be great if that 15% (in whatever form that comes in) leads to Scotland's first win over them since 1982?
The weather is supposed to be pretty bad and ambitious rugby may be fool hardy against the 3rd best team in the world, and reading some newspaper reports from Down Under, they very much believe that if their winning streak comes to an end, it will be by their own hand.
